The community aim is to foster an open, collaborative environment with Florida Vacation Rentals at its core where every member is equally welcome – whether a Florida Property Owner, Travel Specialist, Vendor, Agent or an Independent Traveller.
To keep our platform highly discoverable as we grow we have created it like an open conference hall where you can move around in whatever direction you wish. As we evolve we will naturally introduce updates and enhancements to maintain organisation and order.
New features and community enhancements will be introduced on an ongoing basis.

1. The Overriding Principle
Deal A Trip is a Florida vacation rental community first and foremost. Property First Promotion. Commercial activity is strictly reserved for approved Business Subscribers, Verified Owners, and Vendor Partners.
2. Posts and Comments
Please respect differing opinions. Friendly banter is welcome, but no personal abuse, swearing, or confrontational behaviour. Avoid using all-caps for your text. Ensure any critique is constructive, focusing strictly on the subject matter rather than the individual.
No billboard, flyer, or ad-style posts. Share property links only within helpful, conversational responses, not for self promotion. Link alone posts will be deleted.
Unsolicited Direct Message (DM) Pitching: Utilizing the private messaging system to send unsolicited commercial offers, cold outreach, or promotional spam to community members is strictly prohibited and will almost certainly result in an account ban.
3. STR (Short-Term Rental) Enquiries
Important: Proprietary lead generation posts are exclusive to Verified Owner Premium and Pro members. Under no circumstances may these leads be shared with external sources.
4. Topics and Questions
All posts and comments must relate directly to Florida property rentals or associated travel topics (e.g., transport, cruising, car hire, theme parks, attraction tickets, sightseeing, state parks, touring, shopping, insider tips, etc). Off-topic posts will be removed.
5. External Links
To protect our community ecosystem, external links are generally not permitted. However, you may share a link strictly for informative purposes—such as a specific webpage, article, image, or video directly relevant to the ongoing discussion. Promotional, commercial, or affiliate links designed to drive business off-site are strictly prohibited.
6. Guest Recommendations, Endorsements & Reviews
Members are welcome to share their personal Florida holiday experiences, leave Positive Member Endorsements, and recommend properties they have personally stayed in. All reviews, endorsements, and experiences shared must be first-hand, entirely factual, and non-defamatory. Unsubstantiated allegations, hearsay, or malicious reviews designed to damage a business or user reputation will be removed immediately. If you wish to recommend a non-member property, why not invite the owner or agent to join our community.
7. General Posting
Keep all content focused on Florida vacation rentals or directly associated travel subjects. Do not game or spam the community with duplicate or rapid-succession posting, as these will likely be deleted. ‘Bumping’ posts is in order but use discretion and allow for a time lapse – bump only occasionally.
To protect member privacy, please avoid posting personal telephone numbers or email addresses publicly within comments. Use the appropriate contact and enquiry features where available.
Above all, enjoy participating, and look to both offer and receive value from your involvement. As a member, this is your community now.
8. Gamification and Achievements ‘Etiquette’
Our points, ranks, and badge system is designed to reward genuine, meaningful community interaction.
Point farming – such as posting repetitive, low-value, or artificial comments (e.g., “Nice,” “Thanks,” or random characters) solely to manipulate rankings – is strictly prohibited. The moderation team reserves the right to reset point balances, revoke ranks, or suspend accounts found to be exploiting the Sunshine Points system.
9. Soliciting
Soliciting for ‘discounted or free stay rentals’ in return for social media account postings is banned

The moderation team reserves the right to remove content or restrict access where necessary to protect the community and uphold these guidelines.
